Response to Nashville Floods

August 9, 2013

damaged house 2Hope Force International is responding to the hard-hit city of Nashville after several days of torrential rains caused flooding to multiple areas of the city. Jack Minton, HFI Founder and President stated, ?We are seeing pockets of damage spread throughout the area. So far, most of the people we are helping are elderly homeowners who are overwhelmed. As soon as the word was out that Hope Force teams were there to help, we began to receive calls asking for assistance.

Miss MaryMany Nashville residents are having traumatic flashbacks of the massive 2010 floods, while some are stating that this flood event is even more traumatic to their home than the previous flood. ?Miss Mary? is typical of what we are seeing here. She has lived in her home for 40 years, and has never experienced anything like this.?

Hope Force teams of staff and Reservists are assessing damage and responding through muck out, debris removal and flood remediation.

Please pray for the residents affected by the outbreak of floods that have impacted extensive areas of the Midwestern section of our country.
